LA Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Claim Second World Series Victory
The City of Angels witnessed citywide celebrations after the Los Angeles Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with Angelenos in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.
Celebration Parade Attracts Massive Crowds
Local events featured a downtown parade on the morning of the parade, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings throughout the city.
Social media videos depict thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many displaying handmade banners and team flags. The team was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the masses, hoisting the Commissioner’s trophy high.

The procession path ended at Dodger Stadium, where the players walked out to the rapper’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ spinning music and Ice Cube cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

However, Mark Walter was met with a less warm welcome at the celebration. Video footage from the gathering appear to show him taking the stage to a mix of applause and jeers, with jeers interrupting his speech.
The World Series served as a bright spot in what has been a trying year for Los Angeles. An estimated 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated equal or greater enthusiasm.
“It seems it’s nearly twice from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
