9. Hazbin Hotel Season 2

Creator Vivienne Medrano's boldly transgressive mature musical show, which originated as a crowdfunded short, truly found its footing in its sophomore installment. Building on the game-changing events of the first season, the narrative broadens considerably, centering on the scheming TV demon Vox as he seizes command of the narrative, sparking a series of increasingly dramatic conflicts that naturally culminate in elaborate musical numbers.

While it might not have a one breakout hit on the level of the first season's "iconic tune," that's because everything in season 2 being more complex. The fight sequences, personal development, and above all the music are all more sophisticated. The story advances the main storyline forward while delivering plenty of bizarre, unhinged, and simply entertaining fantasy.

8. Daredevil: Born Again

As a successor to the legendary Netflix show, this series had immense expectations. Despite well-documented development challenges, the resulting product proves to be worth the wait. The plot centers on Matt Murdock once his dual life as Daredevil is publicly revealed, leaving him vulnerable to enemies from his history and present in a slightly take of his familiar setting.

The premiere is explosive, capturing the intense tone audiences loved from the original series. Although the subsequent chapters venture into certain new narrative ground, the first season concludes powerfully, setting fans eagerly anticipating a follow-up installment.

7. Common Side Effects

A surprising 2025 gem, this show is essentially a crime saga with the humor of a suburban satire. Helmed by an Adult Swim veteran and writer Steve Hely, it follows the story of a nerdy mycologist who finds a miraculous fungus and soon finds himself pursued by forces including unscrupulous Big Pharma CEOs to government authorities.

Far from being a spoof, the show plays out with the serious intensity of a classic conspiracy thriller. 6. Fallout Season 2

The hit series based on the popular gaming franchise came back with a new batch of stories that expanded its sprawling lore and expanded its nuclear wasteland world. Although it ventures toward the fan-favorite location of New Vegas, the season is not a straight retelling of that title; instead, it further examine ideas of authority and autonomy.
