Vince Zampella, a Gaming Pioneer, Dies in a California Vehicle Accident
The co-creator of Call of Duty, renowned for co-creating the globally famous first-person shooter Call of Duty, has died in a vehicle crash in California at the age of 55.
The tragic news was verified by Electronic Arts, which owns Respawn Entertainment, the development studio which he helped establish.
The celebrated video game developer died after his vehicle was involved in a crash and was engulfed in flames on a motorway in LA on this past Sunday, as reported by.
"We are facing an unimaginable loss, and we stand with Vince's loved ones, his family, and the countless individuals inspired by his work," an official with Electronic Arts said.
